Most people adjust within a few weeks. Eating soft foods, reading aloud to practice speech, and wearing them as directed all speed it up. Sore spots in the first weeks are normal and take minutes to ease — come in rather than pushing through, because a denture you stop wearing helps nobody.

A denture that clips onto two or more implants instead of relying on suction. It is the usual answer for a lower denture that keeps lifting, because the lower jaw offers very little for a conventional plate to hold onto. Because the bone and gum ridges underneath shrink after teeth are removed — quickly in the first year, slowly for the rest of your life. The denture has not changed; the mouth has. A reline re-fits the inside surface to the new shape and restores the hold.
